Synopsis: Taiki Inomata, an incoming first-year, rushes to the high school gym every morning to improve his badminton skills. His real incentive, though, comes from sharing the otherwise deserted gym with Taiki's crush, second-year Chinatsu Kano, who is also the standout player for the girls' basketball team. Despite Chinatsu's seeming inaccessibility, Taiki gradually finds ways to get to know her. Unbeknownst to Taiki, Chinatsu is inspired to strive for her highest goals by his unwavering work ethic and admiration. Chinatsu chooses to stay in Japan. He aim for national glory after her family is abruptly forced to relocate abroad for business without a place to stay. Even if Taiki is talented enough to attract his coach's attention, he still has a long way to go before he can earn a starting position. Supported by Chinatsu and his childhood friend, the gymnast Hina Chouno, Taiki wants to establish himself among his influential upperclassmen.
